I think after a few teething problems it's all coming together nicely.
Loads of pubs on route, or a cheap shared cab from Plaistow gets you there in time as usual.
Real ale on the concourse , and at a sensible price.
Good seats, good view, atmosphere starting to build, starting to know my neighbours, been going for 30 years cunty types, so the same as at UP.
It's about the team on the pitch really, if they do well we get behind them.
Plenty of tourists, but then that was also the case at UP.
In fact I've almost forgotten what it was like to go there now, romance is done.

Choose an iconic stone put in upside down. Choose westfields and wondering who the fuck that different person is in your seat every saturday. Choose sitting in your seat, watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing games, stuffing fucking overpriced junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pissing your last £ on a payet 27 home shirt, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up chelsea fan you spawned to replace yourself.

I can get from my seat to the Central Line platform in under twenty minutes (have timed it) straight from the final whistle. All depends on what route you take.

Honestly, I went to a night game and the place and the walk up were spectacular with the Orbit and the aquatic centre lit up and canary wharf pointing to the heavens..
Inside though pre match getting a beer is no longer a scrum, the only downsides that i can see are:
The fans that want to stand and sing for 90 mins are not grouped together. Doing this would generate a more consistent atmosphere.
The fans that just want to sit an watch the game are not grouped together and therefore their enjoyment is dulled by other fans who want to stand.
The pitch is too far from the fans.

Including the walk, takes me at least 20 minutes longer to get to and from compared to UP, so that's already a negative.
I hope people grow to like the place, as we're obviously not getting rid of it in any of our lifetimes, but for me it took all of 3 games to jack it all in and concentrate instead on only going to away games. I mean I'll probably pop back now and then, but I'm offered at least 4 free tickets for every game from mates who also hate the place and I'd simply rather watch it in the pub with a pint.
Not a stadium fit for football for me and 2 of the 3 seats I have sat in literally needed binoculars to even know who our players were on the ball. Sight lines may be good, but some of those seats must be 300 metres from the pitch.

On the queueing to get in, do they really need to pat everyone down, and pay all those security doing it?
Aren't those detectors they have at airports good enough to detect any naughty stuff. Just install one in front of each turnstile.
Would speed things up no end.

Makes me laugh when people say the seats are too far apart, I happen to be sitting to who I think could be quite possibly the largest/fattest fellow in the stadium (hope he don't read who!) & his Mrs who sits to his left is no shrinking violet which in turn pushes him over to me even more.
His so large that his right leg is on my seat to the point my seat doesn't go up when I stand up! My mates said I should ask him to contribute towards my season ticket!
Other then that the faults outweigh the pluses for me. Mainly because at the end of the day it's an athletics stadium, simple as that. For those that like watching football at athletics stadiums fair play.

For me, it takes much less time to get to LS than it did to UP. However, I really hate the queues to get in. I hope they think about putting a few more turnstiles in for next season, or thinking of ways to speed up the process although I doubt that would happen.

That's what I meant, the train services are obviously a lot better as people can get to where they are going more directly.
The queues to get to that stage are horrific though, all the stop go signs, the boards being put up near the away fans to accomodate them first, the long walks, then all the boarding to dictate which way you should go.
Hopefully this will all be looked at come the end of the season when they have a couple of months to set up better logistics, this is West Ham at the end of the day and they had years to get a plan together for it and fucked it.
I'll give them the benefit though and say trial and error was always going to be the case. Just hope they notice it is wrong and sort it in the summer. A good start would be prioritising the HOME fans instead of the Away. Just keep them in for 15 minutes until we all clear out, happens to us at other grounds.

Not sure that is true but what is true is that:
1. the station is further away, and
2. there are many more people using it, both WH fans and shoppers etc.
3. there are wankers telling us which way we must go (or stop)
BTW: I drove past near the so called GAS LEAK this morning and that path is definitely closed off with something going on there.
